Don't think we've been introduced...

So this week gone has been an eventful one, amongst other things, last Friday there was an attempted burglary into my accommodation, while I was in it!
So there I was sitting by my computer with headphones on, chatting with a couple of friends online. Lights were on in the room and the TV was running with the volume on in the background.
I'd left the window open with a little crack on it to let in some of the fresh night air.
There I am minding my own business when suddenly I notice something out of the corner of my eye, when I looked over I notice a hand coming though the curtains moving them around. Evidently someone was reaching through the window from the outside checking out the room before going in.
As soon as I noticed this I shouted out, threw of the headphones and ran towards the window.
The immediate response was the scurrying of feet down the steel staircase outside my window into the dark. When I reached the window and pried it open, whoever had been there were or was gone.

Then the following Sunday I heard 5 gunshots from what must not have been more then two streets away.

It's events like this that make you reflect on if you're really living in the best of places, then again this is what one can expect when living in a city rather then more rural areas.
So it’s something everyone needs to weight with themselves, the hustle and bustle with higher crime rates vs. quiet and calm in what is generally a safer environment.

Þú þyrftir bara að fá þér öxi sem þú getur notað til að höggva hendina af næsta glæpamanni sem teygir sig inn um gluggann hjá þér. Þá tryggir þú að hann komi ekki aftur og svo ertu með fingraförin hans líka.

One can only hope Sivar, though I'd rather she'd at least start by inviting me out for a drink, then she could crawl through my window after, that is if she so still prefers rather then coming through front door.
Albeit a bit odd.

There is being forward then there is being a bit to adamant, if you know what I mean :)

Dæja, quick resolution if a bit brutal, but certainly an excellent way to ensure getting some fingerprints.
Question is though, if not on record, what fingerprints to compare to then, seeing as the hand is missing?

Þú grípur bara höndina og arkar á næstu lögreglustöð og heimtar að gerð verði DNA rannsókn og ef ódæðismaðurinn reynist ekki vera á skrá auglýsir þú í bæjarblaðinu: "þekkir þú einhvern sem missti framan af hönd nýlega?"

The calm ocean of Eastbourne rocks !! The greatest threat is a 60 year old with a there walking sticks trying to shove it up your ass or even the more uncomfortable the stupid shop mobiles.

Which for some in Brighton is the preferred method pleasure. :)

Also in the event of chopping of his hand, preferably the right one you half his chances of being one of the shooters that you mention later :)
